Film Contest

This contest is the only international one and is intended for students of film and art schools as well as schools that teach film production. Participation is open to all students who will not have exceeded 26 years of age on the contest submission date, 1 June 2009. Topics are humanity, propriety, good deeds – simply put, all of your work inspired by the principle of goodness. The result will be a mosaic – a complex picture of the struggle for good in today’s world through the eyes of young people. Student films will become part of the world collection, which will address audiences without regard to race, culture or religious affiliation. The finale of the contest will be an international screening of student films in London called Winton Fest and subsequent broadcast by Czech Television.

The best films will be selected by a jury composed of renowned filmmakers.

Prizes:

• 1st place - EUR 6,000, an internship at a major media company, valuable prizes from project partners, a journey aboard the Winton Train from Prague to London (dates: 1 September 2009 – 4 September 2009)
• 2nd place - EUR 4,000, valuable prizes from project partners, a journey aboard the Winton Train from Prague to London (dates: 1 September 2009 – 4 September 2009)
• 3rd place - EUR 3,000, valuable prizes from project partners, a journey aboard the Winton Train from Prague to London (dates: 1 September 2009 – 4 September 2009)
• 4th - 20th Place   - EUR 1,500
